This is what my cat does all day. I am so jealous! It takes my every bit of strength not to give up and get under the blanket next to him.
Another great band that I saw at Bumbershoot is The Mother Truckers. Dave and I first heard of them when we were in San Fransisco in January. I looked in the local free paper and found a bar called Slims, with a list of band names that sounded cool. So we went to check it out and The Mother Truckers were one of the bands. They were so great. Slims was a really cool bar, too. It is big and red and feels sort of like a barn. Click here to see some of my pictures of The Mother Truckers at Bumbershoot. We bought their cd at the show and they signed it . I listened to it the other night and it's great!
There was also an Indie Market that featured a bunch of great handmade things. Dave bought me an owl pillow made from reclaimed sweaters. I love browsing markets like these but I get so overwhelmed by all the great work and inspiration! I think if I am in the area next year I am going to try to sell here.
Bumbershoot is such a wonderful festival. It is so well organized and has such a happy atmosphere. Everyone there is having a good time. The admission is so reasonable. It is clean and all ages. I felt so relaxed and able to enjoy the event. I would love to make it a yearly event for myself. I read that they have internships and I would LOVE to do one! I guess I will see what the future has in store...
